This certificate program provides a foundational core in both theory and skill development—emphasizing the work of Rollo May and James Bugental. Anchoring existential therapists in the principles of practice, this program will cover the following topics:
- Cultivating intra-psychic and interpersonal presence
- Existential psychotherapies
- Existential and humanistic traditions and therapies
Graduates will have a solid core of practice and a foundation from which additional modalities, such as a cognitive-behavioral approach, may be integrated into their existing practice. Having experienced development that emphasizes a holistic approach, graduates will appreciate that psychotherapy is an art as much as a science.
