Is this evil? Not exactly, says Hollis: but many have called it that. His presentation will define and illustrate the many ways the Shadow operates in personal and social life – and the opportunity it represents for greater self-awareness and wholeness.
James Hollis will be speaking as part of the Saybrook Graduate School and Research Center’s twice-annual conference. Prospective students interested in Saybrook’s Jungian Studies program can register for a lunch with Dr. Hollis that will follow the presentation.
Based in San Francisco, Saybrook Graduate School and Research Center is the World’s premier center for Humanistic Psychology, with a 30 year history including such notable faculty as Abraham Maslow, Rollo May, James Bugental, and Carl Rogers.
This coming academic year will mark the first that Saybrook, in partnership with the Jung Center of Houston, can offer graduate level courses in Jungian psychology—both historical and current—to San Francisco based students. Saybrook’s new MA and PhD psychology degrees specializing in Jungian studies offer Bay Area students the chance to combine the best aspects of distance learning – studying at their own pace, on their own schedules – with in-class experiences provided through intensive seminars and retreats.
