But over at the website “Rethinking Complexity,” psychologists like Tom Greening and Candice Hershman think differently

In fact, they suggest that the capacity to engage in poetic insights … perhaps the most profound way of examining the human condition … can be a sign of mental health.  It’s when you can’t find poetry in daily life, and when you can’t express it to your fellow human beings, that we have to watch out.
