James S. Gordon, MD, Dean of Saybrook University’s Graduate College of Mind-Body Medicine, today announced the College’s Mind-Body Medicine Scholars Program. The program is a unique, one-time only opportunity for outstanding and deserving students interested in pursuing a graduate degree in mind-body medicine. The program provides multiyear scholarship assistance to new students applying and enrolling in Fall 2012 and to current MBM MS students who are eligible to apply for Fall 2012 MBM doctoral programs.
The MBM Scholars Program awards $3,000 in scholarship assistance for the 2012-13 academic year, $2,000 for the 2013-14 academic year, and $2,000 for the 2014-15 year. This amounts to $7,000 of scholarship over the course of the student’s MBM program.
For priority consideration, a completed application for admission for the MS or PhD in Mind-Body Medicine must be received by June 15, 2012. Students must be currently employed or seeking a career in:
Nursing
Physician or physician’s assistant
Military/veterans’ health and wellness
Dietitian
Mental health counseling
Healthcare administration
Healthcare research
Health and wellness coaching
Public health
Other health related areas.
Scholarships awarded are based on funding availability.
