
Dr. Ruthann Russo, instructor in the Saybrook University School of Mind-Body Medicine, will conduct a webinar on November 12 at 5:30 PM Pacific. She will provide information on professional affiliation and certification opportunities available through the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine (AIHM) as a result of the recent merger of The American Holistic Medical Association, the American Board of Holistic and Integrative Medicine, and the Journal for Global Advances in Health and Medicine.
Dr. Russo will also describe her experiences as an attendee and poster presenter at AIHM’s 2014 annual meeting from October 25th through 31st in San Diego, CA. In addition, she will be attending the AIHM’s Leadership in Integrative Health Certification post-conference 2-day program and will share an overview of the certification program . Ruthann Russo, PhD, JD, MPH, Lac, is a licensed, board certified acupuncturist, certified health coach, mind-body medicine practitioner, and yoga teacher. She is currently the Director of the Center for Acupuncture & Mind-Body Health in Spring Lake, NJ and an adjunct faculty member in the Graduate School of Mind-Body Medicine at Saybrook University. As part of her research efforts, Ruthann has designed mind-body workplace wellness programs for Fortune 100 Corporations. She has been exploring the role of individual wellness planning using a web-based theory-driven model that she designed as part of her doctoral dissertation research. She has written 11 books including 7 Steps to Your Best Possible Healthcare: The Essential Guide for Crafting Your Healthcare Plan and has presented and published articles extensively on the topics of integrative medicine and healthcare ethics.
